40 years, still going.
I will not be here during the morning but will read and comment when I get home from the ortho clinic where they will make some changes to my current condition.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!
IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! I write this Wednesday afternoon. Today Bill made an appointment to get his eyes examined next week and get new glasses. He made another to get his teeth cleaned in about that same time period. He also called my sister and made an appointment to get his hair trimmed. His beard is coming back in patches, I don’t know what he intends to do with it. He is still using a feeding tube so I don’t know if he plans to try transitioning to real food soon or not. He is trying to get a PET scan scheduled so the Dr he sees in Oct will have some info to give him but the system is not helping him today. He will take care of it.
I am proud of him and the progress he has made.
All of this is in preparation for his return to work Monday Oct 3rd. He is getting ready to move on.
