ESPN has an announcement that the South Carolina women's basketball team has cancelled this year's home and home series due to the treatment of the Duke University women's volleyball team. Dawn Staley said she "didn't want to put her players in that situation."

She indicated the decision was solely hers but that the school’s athletic director supported her decision.

The BYU AD (surprise) asked for "patience" as they "investigate". Um, it only took you until less than 40 years ago to remove much of the racism from your religious texts and teachings. Maybe patience isn't the right response to an entire culture's desire to be excused for its blatant racism?

More props to Dawn Staley - weak excuses and lack of change need something more than 'sure, we'll come back for another helping while you cover up your bigotry'.

Utah is becoming a MAGA playground, they have made it clear where they stand. I stand with Dawn Staley on this.
