A view of the right side as of today.

It's been a pretty busy summer for me, and I haven't been able to spend as much time on this project as I might wish. But today I got to work on it for a couple of hours. Felt really good.

As seen from above. The space between the eyes had some cracking and roughness, which I made part of the design.

This skull had rather more damage than the first, which means finding ways to not just work around the rough bits, but at least try to make them part of the painting. Rather than trying to somehow camouflage the damage (Spackle? Nah.) And so this one by necessity is much less symmetrical than the first.

And the left side.

As always I'm using ordinary acrylic craft paints, working in thin layers to try to achieve the 3-D effect of stone mosaic. I'd say it's about two-thirds finished now.

Thank you for looking at my work. It's much appreciated.
