A portion of the Herbert Hoover National Historic Site, where President Hoover was born and grew up, has been maintained as a tallgrass prairie preserve, duplicating the landscape within which the tiny town of West Branch was founded.
Some photos from a walk through the preserve.
For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in Iowa.
