Princess Pixie

It is going to be a very difficult few days for me. I have four days to move from the 2-bedroom apartment that I shared with Reid into a studio with the Princess. I am hoping that someone with a truck can help so I don’t have to rent one. Of course, I woke up with my sinuses bleeding and coughing up blood. A container somehow got lost in the refrigerator and when I opened it up, I got a face full of mold. My arthritis picked this time to act up since I don’t have the money to get the arthritis medicine.

Four days to throw away a lifetime. I spent so much of my life taking care of others. Fourteen years straight of being a caregiver. Somehow, I never thought that I’d end up needing a caregiver myself which is good because there is no one available to do so.

If I could ask for a little help to get moved that would help tremendously. Once I am settled, I will be able to publish on Amazon the cookbook that I have been promising you. I also have a great painting in my mind that I want to do. I have a ton of new recipes and want to start two other cookbooks. I learned to cook Asian food living in the San Francisco Bay Area so that is one cookbook. My niece wants me to do an Around the World in 80 Recipes cookbook. That will take some research. Also, if there are potential taste testers in North Carolina who would like to try out these new recipes that would be great for both of us.

The thing that is getting me through the stress (other than a large bottle of Buspar) is Pixie. I always laugh when people try to tell me that dogs really care about their humans but that cats are aloof. I know more people whose cats are their helpmates. Pixie lies next to me and purrs when my arthritis is acting up. She cuddles next to me when I am upset and lets me know she is there for me. I know she misses Reid. Right now she is getting ready to supervise Mom packing.
