Ye Gawd’s I am fed up hearing from self-proclaimed “moderate” Republicans that Trump is an outlier in their party. Seriously?

I’ll stick to post WWII history.

Joseph McCarthy [The Original Trump] gave us

McCarthyism is the practice of making false or unfounded accusations of subversion and treason, especially when related to anarchism, communism and socialism, and especially when done in a public and attention-grabbing manner.

Which Party gave us the Southern Strategy brought to you by Barry Goldwater.

Which party fought tooth and nail against The Civil Rights Act of 1964 which hoped to end segregation. Republicans have been trying to overturn its principles ever since it passed.

Which Party snuggled up with the NRA in the 1970’s?

I’ll not even mention Nixon.

Which Party chose to embrace the talibangelicals to elect Reagan?

Which Party gave us climate change denial as a policy.

Which Party gave us the laziest President [up to that time] who led us into two disastrous wars, torture and gave us the legacy of the neocons?

Which Party finally elected Joseph Donnie as their leader?

Oh, sorry, but I can’t see anything gloriously “conservative” in this crap.

But, but Abe, you cry, give me a fucking break.

It has been the party of Ass-hats for over a century.
