Hi beer fans, happy Friday! Come in and have a cold one with us!

This song is sort of appropriate for my topic
I want to talk about beer packaging because I’ve seen something new, in how a set of cans is put together.
Packs of 12 or more cans come in thin cardboard boxes, and so do a lot of 6-packs. I’m guessing you need a lot of volume to justify having boxes printed.
The rest of the 6-packs and most 4-packs use these hard plastic snap-tops.
And there are a variety of less-used concepts. I’ve seen some 4-packs that are shrink-wrapped, Prairie Artisan Ales uses the old-school plastic rings (I don’t know if the blue plastic is different from the more common clear plastic ring), and Faction is using the one I’ve never seen before which is a hard fiber snap-ring.
The marking “Plant Based Holder” is almost visible in the picture (at bottom center), and it’s also stamped with the manufacturer, E6PR.com. They call it “Eco Six Pack Ring”
