We shouldn’t need to ask, will Trump supporters be violently attacking the FBI? Not after a Trump supporter conducted an armed attack against the FBI in Cincinnati.
And also, we are in a state of low intensity civil war.
A question has been raised, in a rec-listed blog post today, who are Trump supporters going to be directing their violence against?
Against the police? The National Guard? The FBI?
The answer to this is yes. Trump supporters are going to be conducting violent attacks on the FBI, and threatening more.
We know that Trump supporters are going to be conducting violent attacks on the FBI, because they already have been.
On the day that the FBI conducted a search of Donald Trump’s residence, Trump posted on Truth Social to incite violence against the FBI. His residence was under siege by the FBI, he said, and much more.
He portrayed the FBI as an enemy.
Four days after the search, and after Trump’s incitement against the FBI, a Trump supporter attacked the FBI, carrying an assault rifle, in Cincinnati.
On Truth Social, where the attacker was a prolific poster, he said, specifically, that he was at war with the FBI. He said specifically that he considers the United States to be in a state of civil war.
He should know. He was waging it.
Four days after the Cincinnati attack, another Trump supporter in Pennsylvania also said he was at war with the FBI. He wanted to kill everyone at the FBI, from the director to the janitors, he said.
He was arrested, for these threats. His threats were considered specific and credible. When Trump supporters talk war, and talk civil war, it is not all bluster.
