On MSNBC, Stephanie Ruhle is going overtime into the midnight hour because of this bombshell.

The DOJ has said in this latest report that the FBI seized over 100 classified documents in the August search. There is something powerful about seeing those bright yellow and red cover sheets in the just-released photo above — there’s no mistaking them for anything but highly sensitive material.

This latest DOJ release also reveals that some highly classified documents were found in TFG’s Mar-A-Lago desk!

It looks like Trump is finally cornered.

Update 12:31am ET: A Wall Street Journal story just published, saying the big takeaway from the DOJ filing is that it nails down the potential charge of Obstruction of Justice:

WASHINGTON—The Justice Department said “efforts were likely taken to obstruct the government’s investigation” of documents at former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home months before FBI agents searched the Florida estate in early August. A court filing late Tuesday objecting to Mr. Trump’s proposal that the documents seized be vetted by a third-party arbiter laid out the government’s most detailed timeline yet of the events that led to the unprecedented search of the premises.

Update 12:53am ET: Reporter Jeff Mason is talking to Stephanie Ruhle, and he says that one of the details from tonight’s release is that a Trump lawyer specifically refused to let the FBI look through certain boxes at Mar-A-Lago during their June search. Damn.
