Correct. Hahahaha!

MARCH OF THE RAMPAGING KILLBOTS

We killbots marching one by one! Torturing humans just for fun!

We killbots marching two by two! You'll all be dead before were through!

We killbots marching three by three! Squashing every meatbag that we see!

We killbots marching four by four! Watch out, Monkeyman, its robot war!

We killbots marching five by five! No organ sacks left alive!

We killbots marching six by six! Its you were gonna fix!

We killbots marching seven by seven! sending all you meat jackets to heaven!

We killbots marching eight by eight! mechanoid instruments of your fate!

So thats a marching cadence i wrote inspired by Futurama.

Did you know engineering has no hypocratic oath? After your all smushed to organic peanut butter, they'll need someone to tighten their lugnuts. Still too good for me Amy Thomas of the 8th grade? Ahahaha!

So the first AI caused mass casualty event was probably the USS Vincennes (guided missle cruiser Persian gulf) shootdown of Iranian Air flight 655 in 1988, killing 290 civilians. The Aegis system had a human in the loop, but only to veto shoot orders, not to ok them. In exercises when the human second guessed the AI it slowed things down and that unit would under perform. It was complicated but a pretty clear Fuck up.

Three years prior Korean Airlines flight 007, obviously a Bond spyplane was shot down by a human piloted Soviet interceptor, killing all 269 on board. It was complicated but a pretty clear fuck up .

Which do you find more horrifying? Why?

Is the trolley problem worse if solved by meatbrains or integrated circuits and programs? Why?

Q:How many Killbots does it take to change a light bulb?

A:Kill all humans.

Obviously killbots programmed by Russia, Elon Muskrat, or Best Korea are going to be nasty pieces of work. Autonomously I don't see them as quite as bad as humans, even if programmed to crime. It would be impersonal and lack the power dynamics and humiliation of human war crimes. Imagine the difference in your trauma between narrowly escaping death from knife wielding maniac and anothe near miss in your car.

But, they could do better too-not worrying about their own lives or buddies they could deliberate coolly before action and follow the Geneva conventions scrupulously. Its up to us.

Police bots ala thx 1138 could be impartial or implicitly racist if their data is sour. But, imagine copbots that didn't piss down their legs at the sight of unarmed, fleeing Black citizens. That never used deadly force except to save others. It could be a very good thing if properly implemented. Can we do it is the question.

Btw remote control drones are not autonomous ai killbots, just manned aircraft with a safe remote pilot.

Myself, I go with the statistics. Hear about the perverted statistician? Standard deviation wasn't enough for him!

Right now, Teslas Autopilot is a menace that the ntsb should shut down. But as soon as selfdriving is cheap and better than us, it should be required .

The really big downside I see is if it lowers the threshold for war, with one side automated and the other having human casualties. That would pretty much be the military industrial complexes wet dream.

What do you think?
