The idea behind Democrats campaigning on the issue of freedom is, nearly, perfect.

I hate to say it, though, but it is a little too complicated. It requires paragraphs, not sound bites.

Here are a few sound bites that add up to one big sound bite.

How about this: Republicans: No privacy. No science. No books. No abortion. No education. No women. No climate action. No vote counting. No people of color. No health care. No public health effort. No immigration. No gun regulation. No regulation, period. No policy. No nothing.

Now, there are some Republicans running who are willing to be for a few of these things. But as a party, about the only positive thing they stand for is also negative. No taxes.

So, the direct challenge to any Republican candidate is, “What is it that your party wants to do that makes you want to represent it? The likely response is that they want to bring back the good old days. (MAGA). So the counter-point is simple. No change?

Alternatively they might want to get the government off of our backs. So, No government?

This makes for a relatively electoral strategy game, Pin the Politician to the Party.

Since the No Nothing monitor seems slightly tarnished, how about the, “Party of No”?
