January 6 rioters push against police barrier

John Andries, former Marine One crewman, pleads guilty to felony obstruction of an official proceeding and faces 15-21 months in prison. Andries, who was never deployed and was discharged from the Marines as a lance corporal after five years of service, will be sentenced on January 10, 2023.

Mr. Andries compounded his troubles when he was arrested for assaulting police, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct in Maryland in February 2022. Federal Judge Contreras ordered a GPS tracker for him after that, so he remains out of jail.
