Jeanne Hendricks won the Democratic Nomination for U.S. Congress in Minnesota’s 6th District
Mom, nurse anesthetist, and the Democratic nominee for U.S. Congress in Minnesota's 6th District running to defeat GOP U.S. Rep. Tom Emmer. During the Democratic primary she earned the endorsements of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (MN DFL), the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME), the National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Supports making all abortions illegal, as well as putting women into prison for having a life-saving abortion, for obtaining one because of rape or incest, or for traveling out of state to receive an abortion. Yes, Rep. Emmer is that extreme.
These are the issues that weigh heavily on Minnesotan voters, especially in the post-Roe v. Wade era. A recent poll by MinnPost found that two-thirds of Minnesotan likely-voters oppose banning abortions in all circumstances. This number is even higher in the Twin Cities and metro areas, where the 6th district is located. Even among Republicans, more than half of Republicans in Minnesota support abortions in cases of rape, incest, life-threatening pregnancies, or if the pregancy is not viable.
Tom Emmer has done a poor job supporting the rights of women, despite widespread agreement towards the importance of women's rights in his district. This leaves Emmer vulnerable to attacks about his conservative and outdated views on women and their autonomy.
Minnesota’s 6 th 2022 U.S. Congressional General Election Win Number: 158,001 Votes
With an analysis of past general elections, the Jeanne Hendricks’ campaign team are predicting that approximately 316,000 voters could turn out on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, as this has been the trend in non-presidential election years. The turn-out number could go higher or lower depending on voter interest. This variable will be considered as the campaign moves forward, but for now the predicted voter turn-out number stands at 316,000.
Based on past election results in off presidential election years, the win number is predicted to be: 158,001. In 2018, the vote split was 192,931 for incumbent Tom Emmer to 122,322 for challenger Ian Todd. A difference of 70,609 votes means that Hendricks will have to switch 35,305 voters to her side before the upcoming November election.
Hendricks 2022 Team Voter Modeling & Targeting
The Jeanne Hendricks for U.S. Congress campaign team has already developed a targeted list of 56,744 persuadable likely general election voters. In order to win, the Jeanne Hendricks for U.S. Congress campaign will need to target, persuade and switch just over 35,000 voters from Tom Emmer to Jeanne Hendricks.
The campaign has developed a strategy to focus on 56,744 persuadable likely general election voters with an online campaign using targeted Facebook, IP, YouTube and Google ads, as well as email blasts and text messages. As the campaign grows, we will employ an army of grassroots volunteers to persuade Tom Emmer voters to switch their vote to Jeanne Hendricks for U.S. Congress in 2022. Our main strategies for in-district volunteers will include door-to-door and phone-banking campaign activities.
Jeanne is already on the frontlines herself, fighting for and defending our Democracy by speaking with and hearing the concerns of her constituents.
