Longtime WSB-TV Atlanta Political Analyst Bill Crane FIRED for referring to TFG as "Orange Face" [1]

The Atlanta-Journal Constitution reporter Rodney Ho reported Monday that long-time political analyst Bill Crane was fired by WSB-TV in Atlanta because he used a description of TFG that upset too many snowflake Trumpers.
By most accounts Crane was objective in his political analysis, and has served in this role in the Atlanta area for 22 years. But this time he dared to use a relatively tame description of the former twice-impeached heading-to-jail seditious traitor president in his commentary. And so, after working at WSB-TV since 2006, he’s gone!
Ho reports Crane was fired Monday after his comments made on the station Sunday evening. The station’s general manager said:
Crane “uttered remarks not aligned with our commitment for fair and unbiased reporting and analysis. As a result, we’re ending our relationship with Mr. Crane, effective immediately. We value the trust we’ve fostered for decades with our viewers, and we continue working hard to earn and maintain that trust.”
Crane explained on his social media that he was asked about the Fulton County GA DA’s office investigation of Trump’s (illegal) efforts to overturn the 2020 GA results:
“I offered that it is part of Democratic Party strategy to keep President Trump’s fantasy of a stolen election in play, as well as to keep his orange face looming large as a Bogeyman to increase Democratic voter turnout, even though Donald Trump is NOT on the ballot anywhere in 2022,” he wrote. [emphasis added]
Apparently some MAGA viewers got their feefees hurt, finding that Orange Face description “extremely offensive.” They flooded the station’s switchboard and social media pages. #CancelCulture anyone?
Crane acknowledged he has called TFG “The Orange Man” frequently on TV and in his newspaper column before. But nobody seemed to have caught it. He apologized for not being “PC” in his comments, but stood by his analysis.

I find this deeply troubling, as his comments are not egregious in any sense. Here’s hoping he finds another good gig.
