Ad war in U.S. House race centers on Junge's years spent outside Michigan [1]

An ad war has erupted in the mid-Michigan race for Congress over Republican Paul Junge's connection to Michigan and its people, with Democratic Rep. Dan Kildee attacking Junge for being from out of state and Junge defending his Michigan roots.

The tossup race in Michigan's new 8th District is considered among the most competitive in the state and nationwide, encompassing portions of Bay, Midland, Saginaw and Genesee counties.
