Tribal gathering to support the Rights of Rivers [1]

I wanted to be sure the Daily Kos community was aware of this wonderful event in Oklahoma, Sept 21 and 22, supporting the Ponca tribe of Oklahoma to “ protect the Rights of Rivers through ceremony, tribal laws and direct action on the Fall and Spring equinox.”

I was so sad learning about the terrible effects fracking and drilling has had on the native people living there, but hopeful that with ceremony and direct action, the situation can be reversed.
