I keep thinking about how much I miss Squatty and want another MINI Cooper.
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. It's also so we can find other Kossacks nearby for in-person checks when other methods of communication fail - a buddy system. Members come here to check in. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we and your buddy are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care! IAN is a great group to join, and a good place to learn to write diaries. Drop one of us a PM to be added to the Itzl Alert Network anytime! We all share the publishing duties, and we welcome everyone who reads IAN to write diaries for the group! Every member is an editor, so anyone can take a turn when they have something to say, photos and music to share, a cause to promote or news!

The original plan for this past week was Netroots Nation. Several factors contributed to me changing my mind, including the number of friends and relatives I have with serious health issues.
My chiropractor gave me a new exercise to try. I haven’t been able to do the proper thing, since my belly keeps getting in the way (I am rather fat), but the version I have managed using the foot of my bedstead had already done a great deal to improve the flexibility of my right hip. I plan to keep it up, and get to where I can do the official version — I don’t stop when I find something that helps, even though I don’t rush things, either. I don’t like pain — it hurts.
There have been several new books out lately. I’ve read a couple of them from the library and got others for my Kindle. The big release this month, as far as I’m concerned is Ruby Fever, the new Ilona Andrews, which comes out this coming Tuesday. The hard copy has been available for a week or so — soft release, it’s called — but I had the ebook preordered, so I didn’t even consider trying for one.
A webcomics version of Clean Sweep, the first of the Ilona Andrews Innkeeper series, will be available on Tapas, also on the 23rd. The link is not direct to Tapas, it’s instructions on how to use the Tapas site for the Book Devouring Horde. I’m thinking about it. I’m thinking about it.
