Joe Biden MUST Make Election Day a Federal Holiday [1]

They managed it with Juneteenth, they must do it again.



I suspect this is in the works at the White House now that the Juneteenth 'dry run' is under their belt.



Joe Machin is already game.



However, who the f*#k knows how far out of step with AZ voters Sienema (spelling mine) is on the matter.



We already know that, like many issues Dems fight for, making Election Day a federal holiday has the support of 2/3rds of voters (with only a quarter opposed).



SHOULD be easy enough to get her on board, she has some making up to do with the electorate that voted her in anyway and has already put herself at high risk of being primaried in a rapidly bluing state.



After the crash and burn of the Voting Rights bill, this is the most powerful action left Dems can take to combat the Voter Restriction scams flooding our country.



And what a powerful action it would be!



While the full impact of such an action hasn't been thoroughly studied, this single declaration could easily drive multiple extra points of turnout that would permanently reshape American election calculus and get vast numbers of additional people to the polls.



We already know the impact of restriction well and it's clear that making it easier to vote in a democracy is not only morally unassailable but deeply powerful for any parties that actually support Democracy.



That quarter of the population opposed to making Election Day a federal holiday is already long gone on the Q Train Fascism Express to a White Christian Theocracy.



This may be one of the best and last opportunities we have to maintain the values of the real founding of our country and constitution based on a government not controlled by religion and free from religious persecution. Religious persecution such forcing the Evangelical Christian religious belief of abortion opposition on all other pro-choice religious people, the non-religious and the spiritual.



That is LITERALLY exactly what the Founders of our country were fleeing FROM.



America's "Christian foundation” roughly starts from the 1950’s when 'In God We Trust' and 'One Nation Under God' Christian Washed our money and our schools.



The remaking of America as a Fascist Theocracy would surely see them screaming in horror from the grave.



Is Dark Brandon ready to add another notch on the belt?



We can only hope.
