As you can see by Itzl’s concerned look, this group is for us to check in to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

Good morning my friends, and welcome to another weekend! Congratulations~ We made it! So, Time has conspired against us, and two of my favorite authors have me waiting for their next books. The first is Patricia Briggs, whose Mercy Thompson series is on hold until August 23. That’s the release date of the next Volume in the series, “Soul Taken.” This one I actually pre-ordered, because I caught it for half off at the time.
The other one that I am waiting on is “Fairy Tale”, by Stephen King. This one is slated for release on September 6. This one is currently on sale for 48% off, but I am having difficulties taking this sale seriously, seeing as that still puts the the “Digital” format of this book at nearly $17. Heh, and S&S wonder why he has the audacity to stand up against them in court… oy!
