Trump contributed hugely to inflation: the public should know this [1]

Donald J. Trump, former president and feckless incompetent, made two huge contributions to the current inflation.

First, Covid would have cost much less to our country if Trump had stepped in much earlier with strong public health measures, distributing masks, contact tracing. In fact, Trump is guilty of causing the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans through his incompetent handling of Covid.

Second, Trump’s trade policies, while popular with Americans who have lost well paying jobs, have made goods more expensive.

Has any well respected economist tried to quantify these effects?
