The Road Ahead?

Still trying to discern which direction the Covid-19 pandemic may be heading currently. The global weekly caseload of new infections is still substantially lower than where it was 2-3 weeks ago, thanks largely to Japan and hopefully South Korea having now passed their respective peaks, but the global weekly death toll still seems stuck at a rate nearly twice where it was 2 months ago due to the stubbornly high numbers still coming from the US and the Japanese surge that may have another couple of weeks yet to run.
