Hope Springs from Field PAC has been Registering New Voters in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin (Ohio, too, but we have only been knocking in Ohio since June) and part of our program in registering New Voters is Mentoring (as Volunteers are available) and Post Cards. New Voters rarely make it into traditional campaign’s voter contact efforts and yet, like infrequent voters, they need more, not less, communications and outreach to actually cast a ballot. So we have been asking volunteers who can to send Post Cards to these New Voters to help motivate them to vote this Fall.
Like any “new thing,” sometimes it takes extra motivation or encouragement to actually do it, in this case, actually cast a ballot. And that’s where you can help. Those New Voters who we have registered at the door have had prior contact with one of our volunteers, and they know that Democrats are serious about preserving Democracy, protecting their right to vote and interested in maintaining the public infrastructure in their neighborhoods. We want to reinforce that message and we want these voters to understand how important it is for them to vote.
689 volunteers have agreed to send Post Cards to the 15,017 ew Voters we have helped registered in the last 19 months. Those who did received an email this week detailing the next steps for receiving their post cards. About half (~300 so far, but it changes hourly) have returned that email. We have now sent out 3 batches of post cards (so far, all to the West Coast).
If you signed up and have yet to reply to the email I sent, please do reply ASAP. If you want to sign up, there is very little time left to do so, but the link can be found here:

For those who do sign up, we are asking that they choose between one of these two Post Cards (A. Thanks for Registering, or B. Congratulations):
These are our First Round Post Cards. The email also asked how many Post Cards you wanted, in three batches of 25. The initial Round are intended to be sent out at the time you receive them. Timing for Round Two is intended to be contingent upon when their state begins Early Voting. The Final Round are to be sent out around October 25th.
Hopefully, this isn’t as complicated as it sounds. We will be sending out the names of voters after volunteers received their batches of post cards. But a DKos commenter, Peter, told me that we have been sending Post Cards to voters for a decade now, so I suspect volunteers know more about this process than I do!
Can you help? If you can volunteer to write post cards, specifically in batches of 25 for 3 rounds (thinking late August, late September, mid-October) — meaning 75 postcards for each batch, please sign up here:

Hope Springs from Field PAC has been knocking on doors in a grassroots-led effort to prepare the Electoral Battleground in what has been called the First Round of a traditional Five Round Canvass. We are taking those efforts to the doors of the communities most effected (the intended targets or victims) of these new voter suppression laws.
At the door, and through our partner Black Churches, Hope Springs from Field PAC has registered 55,868 voters in little more than a year. While only a fraction of that are New Voters, to whom these post cards are intended. Re-registered voters are generally included in regular campaign communications because they already have a voter history. But we hope to generate the same kind of excitement among these newly registered voters as post cards did in Georgia. Outreach that matters, excites and makes them pay attention to the approaching election.
Second Wave (Motivational or Reminder) Card
To the left is our Second Wave Post Card. These are timed to be the most complicated, because we would like voters to receive them just as Early Voting begins.
Finally, our GOTV Post Card (below) reminds everyone that Voting is our superpower. The card was inspired by a DKos commenter who wanted us to know to Make a Plan — Ready. Set. VOTE! I loved that.
If you can volunteer to write post cards, specifically in batches of 25 for 3 rounds (thinking late August, late September, mid-October) — meaning 75 postcards for each batch, you still have time to sign up here:

GOTV Reminder Card (Final or 3 Card)
So far, the efforts of Hope Springs from Field PAC and its partners in the Black Churches in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and Milwaukee have registered 15,017 NEW Voters. In order to meet our goal of at least 3 post cards with those new voters, we printed 50,000 post cards at a cost of $14,550.60. And that is where we need your help.
If you are able to support our efforts to mobilize these difficult, brand new voters to cast their ballots in November, especially in minority communities, expanding the electorate, or just believe in grassroots efforts to increase voter participation and election protection, feel free to donate (that’s always appreciated):

Thank you for your support. This work depends on you!
