Liz Cheney - Her Political Move Is Clear To Me - Run For POTUS In 2024 As An Independent [1]

Liz Cheney (IMO) is bright, shrewd, articulate, and a capable politician. She does not take kindly to LIARS and she puts the United States above her just having a job in politics. She has principles and she does not allow grifters to take her attention. She knows the things that are important to her ideologically and stands by her beliefs. She knows there are two sides to America and tries to accommodate others while also making the case for why what she believes are the right things. She has differences in opinion with Democrats and yet, if she loses she understands there are winners and losers and she stays focused and will try harder next time. None of these qualities/characteristics are things Donald Trump knows anything about nor does he posses any. I think Liz Cheney would make a good President and should run for that position.

There is no way that the GOP will have Liz Cheney as their candidate for POTUS in 2024. This is a fact. The rabid Republicans that have hung their faith in the LIAR Donald Trump will vote for him whether he is proven through the various court actions he is facing today to have broken the law or not. The cult followers of Donald Trump will blindly follow Trump, like lemmings going over a cliff.

Liz Cheney has said that she will do everything she can to make sure Donald Trump never gets to be POTUS again. She has seen through all of the Trump BS and even though she has lost her seat in Wyoming she is still focused on the fact that Donald Trump is the wrong choice for Republicans and has even said that the GOP, her party, has (in my words) drank the cool-aide and are marching down the wrong path by following Trump.

If Liz Cheney were to run as a Republican in the 2024 race she will not be the GOP selection as their candidate for POTUS. There is way to much animosity towards Cheney and those Republicans that are Trumpers would never want Liz Cheney as their candidate.

However, there are many disaffected Republicans that are abhorred by Trump. If there were another candidate with conservative/Republican ideologies that would advance a Republican agenda and it was not Donald Trump, well, many if not most of those disaffected Republicans would vote for that Trump alternative. An honest, believable, focused, capable politician with Republican beliefs is Liz Cheney. But she cannot run as a Republican because the base will never vote for her to be their candidate.

What to do? I say Liz Cheney runs as an Independent. She is a conservative alternative to Donald Trump and is not a Democrat. She has Republican beliefs, not Democrat beliefs and she knows how to manage things, stick handle through the politics, and stay focused. She has principles and would not LIE, unlike Trump.

Disaffected Republicans will not vote Democrat and shudder at the thought of voting for Trump. They may even refuse to cast a ballot as a result. What these disaffected voters need is a viable alternative to Trump, someone that knows what Republicans want and need, and someone that is not shackled by the cult following of Trump. If it is as an Independent and that Independent candidate has the qualities and the beliefs of a true Republican and that candidate is not Trump then why not Liz Cheney as POTUS. Even though an Independent her policies as POTUS would be Republican in more ways than one.

All Liz Cheney needs to do to prevent Donald Trump from ascending to the highest office (a thing she vowed she would do everything in her power to prevent from happening) is to take the electoral college in a state or two or three and show disaffected Republicans there is a viable alternative to Trump. If the Democrats hold their line and Trump loses electoral college votes to Cheney and disaffected Republicans vote for the Independent Liz Cheney then Trump will not gain the White House. In effect the loser Trump would be (IMO) mortally wounded by a 2024 loss. His ego would get the best of him. Trump’s age would preclude him from running again as his senility kicks in even further.

Liz Cheney would not be elected POTUS in 2024 but she would stop Trump from gaining the Presidency. Liz Cheney is young enough to be able to be fielded as the non-Trump follower legitimate GOP Republican candidate for the 2028 race. It will take two cycles but Trump will be effectively neutered from Republican ranks and Republicans will finally have someone qualified that they could gather around and fully support. For 2028 Liz Cheney returns to the GOP leaving her Independent status and would be a capable viable Presidential candidate.

I think it would work and Republicans will, in 2028, regain their respectability and viability to take the highest office in the land with the first woman President, Republican Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney could be the key asset needed to get Trumpism out of her party in 2024.
