Ya I don’t know where to take this one. There are all sorts of directions one could go with a story like this. In reporting, one has to be careful not to libel, although the law generally recognizes a higher burden of proof as it applies to public figures, especially politicians. But there are times when it becomes apparent we are just a few movements of the chess pieces away from some Republican trying to sue a reporter for reporting what they actually said.
At any rate, Marjorie Taylor Greene, in a speech somewhere in the middle of Georgia went after wind and solar because, well, if we rely on that the lights go off at night.

Marjorie doesn’t believe in solar because she doesn’t want to have to go to bed when the sun sets.

Yes, we have a winner. Solar panels are attached to batteries that store the energy for use on the days the sun goes down, which, unless you are up near the arctic circle, is every day. Now I have a question.
Does she think she is safe from hurricanes at night, if she thinks the wind doesn’t blow at night?
I guess she is not familar with the concept of stored energy, or in any case, renewable, and likely, neither are her voters.
I am not trying to condescend here, this is grade school level science.
Also just in case she doesn’t know, the sun is “on” at all times, it is just half of our planet gets turned away from it 10-12 hours at a time.
This is who people take their inspiration from.
They probably think “Photovoltaic” is an Avengers character.
