The ‘oldest news’—why, it’s six hours old: Merrick Garland announces the Justice Department is asking the court to release the search warrant for Mar a Lago and the inventory of what was recovered.

The next story: still three hours stale: the NYT reports that the FBI recovered documents that Trump had kept, apparently illegally, that were Top Secret. That’s not an informal description; of the three levels of sensitivity described in public documents about national security, this is the highest.

And then: what the FBI was looking for was, classified documents about nuclear weapons. Illegally held by Trump.

By 3PM tomorrow, Trump will need to say whether he wants to block Garland from making the search warrant and inventory public.
