Tales from the Civil War 2.0 Front. The Trumpiest Gun store on Interstate 40/85 [1]

Wondering if other people are seeing new things in the last few days from their local Trumpists?



Sorry if this may be shortish, but saw something that seems to mirror some of the internet calls for civil war over the FBI politely knocking with a warrant at Mar-a-Lago. For the most part most of the overt support seems to have faded a bit around here. I don’t see as many confederate flags or Trump signs as I did like in 2016. Even 2020 it was muted compared to 2016. May not change voting behavior but there seems to be more keep those opinions to yourself rather than being very loud about it.

So this gun shop is right along the interstate in Eastern Alamance County. They have had the Trump Pence banner hanging on the building since like 2016 (they have the 2020 one up but their blog shows the 2016 one, and they really haven’t updated that blog for awhile), but you do have to look as that is a fair bit off the interstate.



They have one of those small digital billboard signs that change pictures every so often that is much closer to the interstate. Usually it is just names of the brands the sell, no pictures of guns, pretty normal business stuff and rather bland.

So yesterday I went to work at work (so I don’t see it every day, so maybe this started before the raid) and the two things on the sign I saw on the way back was “Lets Go Brandon” followed by a picture of an AR-15 style gun (did not pick up which brand) pictured with the sale price.



I mean I understand many of our gun culture folks around here probably support Trump, but seems this sort of thing might convince some of your customer base to shop elsewhere.

So any other public displays of what most people only type at the internet?
