Reap That Which You Sew: MAGA Clothing Brand Fined $211,335 for False "Made in USA" Labeling [1]

Surprise, surprise! A Utah-based company making its fortune in the Magaverse since 2015 by hawking apparel and accessories adorned with slogans like “Let’s Go Brandon” and “Give Violence a Chance” on Amazon, Etsy and its own website, has been fined $211,335 for ripping out the Made in China labels and replacing them with phony labels reading Made in USA.
On a 5-0 vote, the Federal Trade Commission voted to approve the fine against Lions Not Sheep and its owner, Sean Whalen. The punishment includes the ongoing requirement that the company “Stop making bogus Made in USA claims” and “Come clean about foreign production”.
So how did this pop up on the FTC’s radar? Was it a Vast Left Wing Government Conspiracy against all things MAGA? Why no, it was Sean Whalen himself, who was gracious enough to post video on the interwebs boasting how to hoodwink his customers.
On Oct. 8, 2020, Whalen published a video of himself to his social media accounts, with the title MADE IN AMERICA! alongside a Chinese flag. In the video, Whalen said he could conceal the fact that his shirts are made in China by ripping out the origin tags and replacing them with tags stating that the merchandise was made in the United States.
As for why Whalen would post a self-incriminating video exposing his fraud against his customers, I can only guess he has sheep for brains.
Chalk this up to yet another grift in the Magaverse. And Sean Whalen?
