Turning of the Tide?

While the weekly caseload of new Covid infections in the US definitely seems on the downswing once again, and new hospitalizations appear to have hit a peak after more than tripling over the past 3+ months, the same cannot be said for the weekly death toll just yet, which just hit its highest mark since April. And for the 7th week running now, Florida continues to lead that grim parade — racking up more new deaths over that period than the second (CA) and third (NY) states combined.

Note that Canada has finally gotten its data reporting problems back under some control, at least for the most part (aside from Saskatchewan, which remains rather sketchy).
