From the beginning, when he first “appeared” in this conflict, I was mightily unimpressed. Now he is stressing “nuclear annilhilation” [presumably if appeasement is not on the table]. [Kyiv Independent today]

If the UN Sec-Gen is positing this line, where are we? Should we be asking deeper/stronger questions re UN “neutrality” or “defense of NATO allies”?? Not impressive and more than possibly dangerous.

Also today [KI again] Medvedev is declaring that both Georgia and Kazakhstan should be “reintegrated” in Russia. Surprise, surprise. His comment was rapidly removed, but it was just a matter of time before it was exposed. Of course, if Russia is the second most powerful army in the world [sic], why not? Have to start somewhere — else.
