Demi Lovato, pioneer of celebrity pronounism, has had a change of their/her heart. Unlike her/their/its fellow generational confusios who did hard-or-impossible-to-reverse bodily/hardware changes (I speak from direct extended family experience, so don’t even start if you’re going to sling t-phobia bs), Lovato can make a trivial software … or even mere configuration … update. “Demi 20220802.01a:pronouns=AmE”
Exactly. Who hasn’t gotten an ill-advised haircut or dye job or body piercing or tattoo or youthful name change. Sid Vicious. Axl Rose. Sting. The Edge. Fine … do your Bay City Rollers or Ziggy Diamond Dogs or beatnik/hippie or Elon-Grimes Æ A-Xii caprices/whimsies. “And be you be blithe and bonny, Converting all your sounds of woe Into hey nonny, nonny.”
Just don’t confuse that with USA politics, especially not here in the crucial year of 2022.

Blues, this diary is directed to the sensible DKers who have a bit of acumen and can sense the way Dobbs/Alito, Jan 6, Russia (and maybe now China) are turning the tide for the November election.
We can actually win this thing. The Senate is looking not lost. There’s a climb still for the House, but with Pelosi in Taiwan and Spanko election deniers winning GOP primaries, anything can happen over the next three months.
Don’t f*** it.
The reds and their KGB puppet masters are going to keep flogging their most divisive winning wedge issues: race and sexualization of minors, for which pronouns are the dog whistle. Now that Rome’s fixation with abortion, contraception and same-sex marriage seem to be blowing up spectacularly (way to go Kansas!), THE LAST THING WE NEED is to play back into the theocrats’ hands.
Stay completely clear of anything that smells to purples like indoctrination of children in government/public schools with respect to race or sexuality indoctrination. Oh … and it should go without saying by now: refund the police. Safety is a civil right.
