Things get a little uglier still as KS vote on women's rights approaches [1]

So, yeah. That's a thing that happened.

Someone has been sending out a large volume of text messages like this one, claiming that KS women are losing their reproductive rights. That’s true. On the other hand, the text claims that a YES vote is the pro-choice vote and that’s, um, literally the opposite of true.

Compiling notes from elsewhere online, I’ve seen several (at least 4 at this point) 888 numbers that appear to be the source of these texts. Maybe one of the RW orgs backing this detestable amendment decided to shell out for a bunch of disposable 888 numbers. Or maybe this is entire a black hat op, and fake numbers are being provided via SMS originator spoofing.

Regardless, it’s just one more way that things are getting that much uglier before this vote. I expect mass texts with incorrect voting dates and locations any minute now, too...
