What you talkin about Senator?

As a gay Jewish man I have never been a fan of Senator Cruz. So when I saw this being reported I did a triple-take.

..told The Dallas Morning News that Texas should repeal its now-dormant law that bans gay sex. “Consenting adults should be able to do what they wish in their private sexual activity, and government has no business in their bedrooms,” Cruz’s spokesperson told the newspaper.

The law has not been enforced since 2003 when it was ruled unconstitutional. But guess who refuses to agree with the shocking statement by Cruz? Justice Thomas. Justice Clarence Thomas had suggested that the court reconsider the Lawrence precedent.

And Cruz came out in as small a way as possible, in leaving gay marriage the law of the land.
