Trump makes Golfweek, and not in a good way. He's a baby carrot-fingered schemer. [1]

Goldweek Magazine (originally in print but now only online) has a feature article, “The marriage of LIV Golf and Donald Trump is the stuff schemes are made of” which is decidedly unflattering to him. It didn’t make the news like the stories about how gross he looked in photos of him without makeup and with his over-the-belt belly roll, see for example Donald Trump's no-makeup appearance has shocked people did. None-the-less Golfweek writer Eamon Lynch had a dandy description of him: “Not for the first time, true character (of LIV Golf) was revealed courtesy of an embrace by the baby-carrot fingers of Donald J. Trump.”

Golfweek is listed as one of the eight best golf publications in the United States.

Aimed at a more upmarket audience, this monthly Golf Magazine is published by Gannett Publishers in Orlando, Florida. It has been around since 1975 so has a proud history and a loyal following. You can expect to read about the latest golfing events, they feature rankings, information on courses and equipment. Their articles cover pros, amateurs, and college golfers. They have a lot of breaking news and coverage of events and information for golfers at all levels. This is a leading magazine with high-quality coverage of golfing news. They are part of the USA Today Sports Media Group. Also in their stable are the “Golfweek Digital Network, Golfweek Mobile, Golfweek Events and Golfweek Custom Media.”

Trump’s attempt at golf tournament hosting self-aggrandizement and personal monetary enrichment has led to protests and condemnation for — well — you name it, for example:

I don’t know whether we can say that it adds insult to injury to have Golfweek publish this story since Trump seems immune to both insult and injury… my hunch, okay, I’m pretty sure I am right in this, is that the only thing that effected Trump was looking at his small crowd size from as close up as he’d be. He’s been at numerous golf tournaments (see below) and knows what a good crowd looks like. It would take someone actually hallucinating to see the small LIV gathering of attendees as being as large at the crowds at a PGA tournament.

Still, Golfweek is read by golf aficionados (and I am anything but, this being the first time I’ve ever read an article in a golf publication) it is gratifying to see that a major golf magazine is aiming their derision at Trump. It won’t have the impact that Murdoch’s Wall Street Journal, NY Post, or FoxNews has had in finally stopped being cheer leaders for him, but it is something coming from a world the putzy-putter actually cares about.
