Ron InSaneness is at it again in Florida deciding that to solve the teacher shortage problem, he thinks it’s going to be beneficial to grant military vets 5-year teaching certificates by just “shadowing” teachers for a day so the vets can acquire the necessary “experience” and knowledge to teach Florida’s children. Say what? I guess he figures he’ll get a “twofer” by doing this—lots of new teachers with absolutely no educational credentials or teaching skills to educate students, AND trained military killers to stop the bad guys if they dare step into the classrooms!

Here’s a novel idea for the myopic, wannabe president, and the entire GOP. Why not just set aside tax funds to pay teachers more for one of the most important and noble professions in America so more young people will be encouraged to become teachers, while at the same time help subsidize the educations of these aspiring, youthful, future educators?

Sound like a plan?
