I have, through my decades of listening to music, had many favorite groups from assorted genres. This is the most difficult nomination so far. Three Dog Night. CCR. Steppenwolf. They have all held a special place in my memories. However, since it took them recording a song to get even a caricature of themselves on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine, I’m choosing Dr. Hook. and the “Cover of the Rolling Stone”.
