Texas woman shot at car with 2-year-old inside during a road rage incident caught on tape [1]

A road rage incident has turned deadly along Interstate 45, just north of the city of Houston. On Tuesday afternoon, 34-year-old Benjamin Greene and 40-year-old Nazly Ortiz, both in a black Ram pickup, were following a silver Toyota Camry. As they both stopped on the shoulder of the highway, Greene came to the Camry driver and assaulted him. When the Camry driver tried to drive away from them, Ortiz got out of the pickup and fired a handgun at the escaping Toyota, hitting the backseat window; the Camry driver’s 2-year-old son was seated in the backseat. As the Camry was further away from the Ram, Ortiz fired another shot at them. A nearby Acura dealer was hit from the bullet, though nobody at the dealer was injured from the shooting.

The Camry driver was taken to hospital, where he will be expected to survive a potential graze wound. The 2-year-old boy did not suffer bullet wounds from this incident, although he was hit by the shattered glass; he is expected to be okay, however. Not too long after this melee, Nazly Ortiz was charged by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office with aggravated assault, whilst Benjamin Greene was charged with simple assault.

Sadly, a road rage shooting is an extremely frequent event in Houston, with Houston having more road rage shooting incidents than even New York City or Los Angeles, never mind cities in other parts of the world.
