Pelosi's Dumb Taiwan Trip [1]

Just a short note to say that Nancy Pelosi is a few bricks short of a load if she thinks traveling to Taiwan is a good idea. Relations between China and the USA are strained enough without such provocations. Taiwan is China. That is a point on which there has been general agreement. It has been the cornerstone of US policy for over 50 years. Until recently Taiwan called itself the Republic of China. Interfering in China’s internal affairs is wrong in almost every sense of the word.

I cannot imagine what possessed Nancy, normally a very thoughtful individual, to undertake this boneheaded move. The fact that Republicans are starting to voice approval should tell you it’s a stupid idea. Since she is my Representative, I plan to contact her office today. In the words of the Bible, “Go thou and do likewise.”
