This small park is located just up the street from one of my camping spots in Buffalo (there’s also a dead mall just a ways up the road). The park is on a plot of land belonging to local businessman Russell Salvatore, and although it bleeds “patriotism” from every pore, it also manages to advertise heavily by mentioning Mr Salvatore’s name (including his statue) at least a couple dozen times.
Me, I’ve always thought that the whole idea of “patriotic nationalism”—the idea that the people on this side of an arbitrary line on a map are somehow inherently better than the people on the other side—is one of the dumber ideas that humans have come up with.

For those who don't know, I live in a converted campervan and travel around the country, posting photo diaries of places that I visit. I am currently in New York.
