I Think They Have A Different Definition Of Birth Control...

Following the scandalous House vote to protect the right to contraception, when only 10 Republicans voted in favour, I did a bit of research.

Of the 195 Republicans who voted against the bill, Wikipedia gives a number of children for 169 of them. Taking that 169 as the sample size, the representatives have a grand total of 490 children making an average of 2.899 children per representative. Which is notably higher than the national average, commensurate with their relative wealth and (I guess) political/religious imperative to have sizeable families. Now, researchers have found that it takes an average of six months attempting to conceive before being successful. And that during these six months, couples have sex an average of 13 times a month. So, with an average of three children each these Republicans are telling us they have had sex a grand total of 234 times during - let's say - an average 30 years of fertile married life. Or, to put it another way, they've had sex 7.8 times a year. Or 1.538 times a month. All squeezed into three sets of six months with no sex in-between. Or perhaps at most, occasional and nervous calendar-watching sex.

Either way, since they have taken away our right to privacy, it's fair game for us - and the media - to ask every single one of them a) how often they have sex and b) what forms of contraception they use/have used while hypocritically denying others the same right. After all, they will always be able to pick up their contraceptives while in DC before flying back to their red States for some weekend fun.

This is the among the most transparent and egregious of their UnFreedom moves, and one which deserves to haunt them on every social media feed, every msm interview and their every visit to the pharmacy to pick up a little something.

There is so much more I could say about this but I'm not as funny as Aldous J. Pennyfarthing. Oh, what he could do with this topic...
