Daily Beast is reporting that One America “News” Network is about to be dropped by its last carrier. I’ll let you read the story for yourself, but I will say this: OAN deserves to be taken off the air for its role in spreading the election lies that resulted in the insurrection at the Capitol and in spreading COVID disinformation. And as someone who grew up watching Disney cartoons, and whose parents met at a Star Trek event, I find right-wing media outlets and personalities not worthy of interviewing either a Disney Princess or a representative of Star Trek’s United Federation of Planets, and certainly not worthy of interviewing any member of Starfleet aboard any Federation starship named “Enterprise” with an NCC-1701 registry, whether the crew member is serving under Christopher Pike, James T. Kirk, or Jean-Luc Picard. But then again, Disney and Star Trek are probably “woke” to right-wing media outlets and personalities (like OAN and its “journalists”).
Here are some examples of why OAN deserves to be taken off the air.
