Congress controls the Fair Labor Standards Act. In 2007 (Yes 15 years ago), the minimum wage reached its current level of $7.25 per hour. With the repeal of Roe vs Wade, the talk of repealing the federal protections for same-sex and interracial marriages, what’s stopping them from repealing the minimum wage?

I can see it now. “They’re the job creators! If they can pay people $1.45 an hour, they can hire 5 people. Everyone would need to work 5 jobs to pay their rent, but the CEOs will be able to hire that many!”

Make America Great Again by rolling back the minimum wage to what it was in 1971!
