Political newcomer, Makya Little (far left), leads in small dollar donations for first election cycle. Pictured with Fairfax County community members Matt Renninger (center) and Bob Fasick (right).

As a first-time candidate previously subjected to the Hatch Act, I was absolutely thrilled to see that—thanks to donors like you—today, VPAP reported that I am #1 in Small Dollar Donors for this election cycle!

I wasn’t sure what this journey would be like, but I knew I wanted to build a people-powered campaign and I am beyond grateful to everyone who shares that value and co-invested in our campaign. This road hasn’t been easy, but knowing that you’re not alone and that others will stand with you to help make a difference makes the hard days a bit easier to overcome.

I always say that I have two primary resources to solve problems, and whichever I have more of is the resource I use. Those resources are time and money. I recognize that supporting candidates takes both, and I appreciate you for dedicating your time and money to help us fight the GOOD fight. If you haven’t already, I happily invite you to join us. As people-powered defenders of democracy, we’d LOVE to have you on our team!
