I know I mentioned some time ago that I got tired of not being able to find scotch tape and bought a multipack and put one roll in the top drawer of every desk or cabinet in the house. Open any top drawer, anywhere in the house and you will find a roll of tape. It has been a truly successful ploy. But the game goes on...
As you can see by Itzl's concerned look, this group is for us to check in at to let people know we are alive, doing OK, and not affected by such things as heat, blizzards, floods, wild fires, hurricanes, tornadoes, power outages, or other such things that could keep us off DKos. If you're not here, or anywhere else on DKos, and there are adverse conditions in your area (floods, heatwaves, hurricanes, etc.), we are going to check up on you. If you are going to be away from your computer for a day or a week, let us know here. We care!

Today, I decided that I will buy an assortment of cheap scissors and put one along side the tape in every drawer. I seem to glom onto a pair and they end up in a project box in my sewing room. I realize that if I can find a pair in any room, in any top drawer, I may not be as tempted to purloin the pair but will put it back where I picked it up. We’ll see if that works.
Other things I have multiples of scattered, I also have one of these spoons in every staple container, sugar, flours, corn starch etc. I bought the ceramic ones just because but I have plastic ones too. When I redid the cabinets recently, I put some things into the new canisters that had been in their original containers with no room for the spoon and added a spoon.
None of these things are expensive but all are needed when they are needed and having to hunt for them is a pain in the patoot so I solved that problem.
