This is my first post here, with assistance from a friend — user Tsodog.

Of all the comments made at the hearings of the Jan. 6 House Insurrection Investigation Committee, the most grotesquely godawful horrific threat was: “Police have no standing if they are lying in a pool of their own blood.” That came from one of the supporters encouraging people to do violence on Jan. 6. That apparently came from a citizen, though not deserving to be, of the United States of America. That came from someone who actually thinks it is acceptable to kill police, or at the very least leave them lying in a pool of their own blood so they can no longer stand to do the job they are paid and are responsible to do—defend the elected members of the House and Senate from any attacks to do them harm of any kind. That came from some person who apparently actually thinks that the constantly lying toxic waste dump (twd) deserves to have people killed on his behalf so that he could remain president of the USA.

It is almost completely and totally beyond Pluto believable that people in this country are that willingly angry and hateful that they would that eagerly kill police officers and elected officials to keep, without debate, doubt, or question, the most criminal, mean-spirited, nasty, racist, ugly, vile, worst president in the history of the country in office. And why and for what?

Freedom? What does such an appeal to their screams of freedom as their reason even mean?

Freedom to participate in a violent insurrection to overthrow a democratically elected government leadership?

Freedom to destroy a democratically elected republic that has existed for nearly 250 years and has inspired authentic freedom loving people around the world for nearly all that time?

Freedom to do whatever they want whenever they want?

Freedom to own whatever gun they want so that more people die because of military-style rifles being used which indiscriminately kill as many people as possible in as short a time as possible, with the undeniably racist, anti-Semitic appeals of why to use those weapons?

Freedom to claim vaccines are government control mechanisms so that they can refuse them meaning they can be infected with the virus and die, or give it to someone else who can die?

Freedom to control women’s reproductive health decisions?

That’s not freedom, that’s seeking to establish an anti-nation of repressive laws, anti-community, anti-social, pathologically sociopathic destruction! Freedom without responsibility to, with, for, and on behalf of others leads to law-denying anarchy, chaos, and even into oblivion! Freedom, or liberty if you prefer, without responsibility is ethically and morally bankrupt and corrupt! Indeed, freedom without responsibility is NOT freedom at all! A free society cannot function without responsibility of free people to, with, for, and on behalf of all other free people in that society! Authentic freedom requires , if not virtually demands, authentic responsibility for others, or laws are worthless! QED!!!!!!!

That this pathetically sad number of people have been motivated by one person, a toxic waste dump of crimes and constant lies if ever there was one, who has demonstrated over and over an eager willingness to destroy an authentically free people and nation, for his own grotesquely-greedy-self-serving purposes, that literally would not even help give freedom in any way whatsoever to the very people willing to do violence on his behalf, is as tragically sad as anything that can be mentioned within the body politic of this nation! At least in the Civil War, as horribly terrible as it was, it was people not fighting for one person but for many, even if they were completely and totally on the wrong side of ethics, morality, history, and humanity!

During that last hearing one lawyer, whose name I intentionally do not mention, stated that as part of that absurdly ridiculous, scream/shouting meeting in the White House trying to give twc some illegal method that could enable him to hold onto power, that they were telling him about 13848 that “apparently no one had mentioned”. I heard no one even react to that, nor did I hear anyone mention it in any follow up commentary. What is bizarre about that is that it is a presidential executive order that twd signed on 9-12-18, so saying no one had told him about this is another lying dismissing of what should be the truth, but never is with these people!

This executive order allows a president, after he receives a report from the Director of National Intelligence claiming serious foreign interference in an election, to then publicly claim that such foreign interference caused so many illegal and/or invalid votes in that election, that he can declare that election null and void, with a do-over election to be scheduled later, which would be run by USAID, which runs elections in newer democracies when they are asked because that country thinks those elections are likely to be corrupt or suspect. USAID had a strong twd loyalist as the acting head of it at that time, though he was never nominated for the position, thus never confirmed, though twd did all he could to keep him in that position.

So just guess who was planning on using that executive order as a fraudulent pretense, because no evidence of such election-changing foreign interference existed, to nullify the 2020 election, then seize all voting machines so that the actually counts could not possibly ever be verified by anyone—twc, of course. Once again the only real fraud claimed or intended to be practiced was his! Once again the only real threat to the Constitution and the USA was by twc and his supporters as willing to be as criminal as he! That he is allowed to be free and still telling his massive miserable lies is as godawful a denial of justice within our governmental realities as I have seen in my lifetime—and has likely been seen in the lifetime of virtually everyone now alive in this country!

But there is also something badly missing in these hearings. The role that christian (small c intentional) nationalism has played in all of this. On NPR’s 1A program last Monday I heard an hour-long question/answer discussion focusing on “christian nationalism” as observed and experienced by Andrew Whitehead, Professor of Sociology at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Jemar Tisby, PhD Historian of Race and Religion, and investigative journalist Katherine Stewart. Their “testimony” was astonishing—and haunting—that an essential part of most all of the white supremacist groups with their militias claims and actions, including the insurrection of Jan. 6, is a “christian nationalist” teaching that is primarily propaganda (my evaluation), which seeks to achieve ruling this nation in a way that can only appropriately be understood as autocratic, dictatorial, fascist, ruthless—almost completely like the Taliban, or heinous Hitler, or putrid Putin, or any other mean-spirited, nasty, vile leader that could be named in the history of humankind—and absolutely nothing in any way, shape, or form like Jesus ever lived or taught—meaning absolutely nothing at all to do with anything even remotely close to being labeled appropriately authentic Christianity!!!!!!!

Jesus never taught that any nation was to be a “christian nationalist” nation—or the greatest nation above all others to which all knees should bow—not even his own nation!

Jesus never taught that any nation should be ruled by violent force using any weapons that killed others, most especially weapons that are designed to kill as many as possible in as short a time as possible!

Jesus never taught that any nation should be ruled by anyone who forced unjust laws, including claimed “religious” laws onto anyone!

Jesus actually never even taught that any nation should be a Christian nation of any kind of perspective or persuasion whatsoever!

And since Jesus is supposed to be the founder and teacher of what it means to be authentically truly Christian, it means that this “christian nationalism” within this country that supports violent insurrection and racist rule by force that is willing to use violence, especially even killing and murder, has absolutely nothing at all to do with living the teachings of Jesus or with actual, authentic Christianity whatsoever!

Now I think I understand why the Jan. 6 committee does not want to wade into these very hot and dangerously troubled waters with any focus on such “christian nationalism”. That would almost certainly cause such overwhelming distraction, along with shouting, if not screaming that would seem to demand committal to some psychiatric institution, that the focus of their work would be lost in the resulting chaos. But that does not mean this “christian nationalism” effort should be ignored or easily dismissed!

Any who receive this who consider themselves to be Christian, or who have any empathy or sympathy for Christians, and/or for authentic religious freedom which would include the freedom to not have anything at all to do with anything Christian, and also the freedom to worship or not with the religion of your choice, or not to worship within any religion whatsoever, I boldly state with as strong a PLEASE as I can emphasize that you consider voting for all D candidates who do not support any kind of christian nationalism whatsoever—who will indeed support authentic religious freedom, and authentic political freedom supported and sustained by the rule of law that is not ever connected to any form of religious law.

We, as a people, as citizens, as a nation simply MUST do all in our civic, public, yet non-violent power to keep this democratically elected republic existing, and prevent any aspect of the current “christian nationalism” from ever becoming the power that decides or rules anything in this country’s political and civic life. To allow any kind of the current functioning “christian nationalism” to achieve any ruling power by not doing what we can do— that is convince anyone we possibly can whenever, wherever we can to vote for the D candidates —would be a severe disservice to our country, our children, our grandchildren and their grandchildren, to authentic religious freedom, and even to the world!!!!!!! I do not even come close to thinking this is hyperbole, or hysteria, or hyperventilating over-the-top worry, or fear—because I think it is the actual reality we are facing, and history will tell the story of what we did or did not do to stop this form of “christian nationalism” from its desired rule of this nation!
