Jan. 6 committee chair comes down with COVID-19 but the hearing on Thursday is still on [1]

The chairman of the House Select Committee Investigating the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol has contracted COVID-19 just days before the probe is poised to present its eighth and potentially final public hearing. This turn of events will not alter the schedule for the Jan. 6 committee this week.

In a statement Tuesday, Thompson said his symptoms were mild because he was vaccinated and boosted.
