It only makes sense that a “real estate magnate” and self described very stable genius would come up with an idea that seems like it comes from the rules of a demented board game.
The former guy (I won’t even capitalize it, he’s not worth the effort to press the shift key) has just given every criminal the perfect “Get Out of Jail Free” card with his effort to avoid any repercussion from his coup attempt. In his latest criminalistic musings, he ways he will definitely run for President in 2024. He believes that if he does, he cannot be prosecuted.
So, it seems that anyone who is running for President can’t be charged with crimes? If only John Gotti had known!!
I’m pretty sure he’s looking up rules for “Risk”, “Life”, and “Mystery Date” as we speak trying to find how to move forward after his very bigly re-election win, and that he’s planning on giving Clarence and Ginny “a chance” at a foursome with himself and the missus in repayment for the r v Wade concurring opinion and the resulting unrest as relates to same-sex marriage/sodomy laws, contraception availability for married couples, and possibly overturning Loving v Virginia and outlawing Thomas’s own marriage (although he’s not going to be affected, because he’s a rich Supreme). Not sure if that would really be a reward or a punishment, mind you.
The Swamp exists, and has inhabitants on both sides of the aisle, but the Trumpists and most of the Repugnicants are the very most hateful, scary, and repellant ones. Lately, between the (I’m in your bedroom” decisions and the “let’s give everybody an easy way to shoot everyone when you have a bad day” decisions (aka “freedumb”) I’m thinking of moving to...somewhere saner and safer.
Merrick Garland needs to step up and treat these jackholes (as well as Lindsay Graham, Ron Johnson, and their ilk) like he did Timothy McVeigh.
