Saturday Morning Garden Blogging Vol. 18.29 Open Thread: Odds & Ends, and That Old House [1]

It’s about the mid-way point in my growing season, and it’s been pretty dry since early June. I’ve had to water more than usual, but the lack of rain has really cut down on fungal problems.
One of my ongoing projects is “dehybridizing” Chef’s Choice Pink, this is the F5 version.
It’s one of four pink varieties that I’m growing this year. The others are San Antonio Rose, Stump of the World, and Brandy Boy (F2).
The Sully Project is moving along. So far, I’m seeing three different fruit shapes: round cherry, pear/plum and ruffled. All look to be in the golf ball size range...
Over in The Pepper Patch, Prairie Spice and the jalapeños are coming along nicely.
Now, about That Old House… (Thanks to Missys Brother for the title pic!)
A few weeks ago...
The new owners are currently working on some foundation issues, but things seem to be going well.
There was a detached kitchen at one time, but it was demolished at some point. They intend to repurpose as much of the lumber and bricks as possible...
Their aim is to restore the house to it’s former appearance, using the original color scheme...
I’ll leave y’all with a picture of Teeny, who will be making her 1st trip to the vet later this morning.
It’s gonna be another scorcher Downheah today. What’s going on in your garden?
