I can’t resist the tabloid-style head: Indian Beer Baron Busted

India's top court has sentenced tycoon Vijay Mallya to four months in jail for disobeying an earlier court judgement linked to the collapse of his airline. India has previously made efforts to extradite the former billionaire, who is believed to still be in London. He made his fortune selling beer under the Kingfisher brand before branching out into aviation and Formula 1 racing. Kingfisher Airlines was India's second largest domestic carrier before it collapsed a decade ago… Mr Mallya faces a number of charges related to alleged financial irregularities at Kingfisher Airlines.

I’m starting with the Wild Barrel Vice Pineapple Pomegranate seen above. It’s less extreme than the super fruit bomb Vice POG I had a few weeks ago but still very fruit forward. Wild Barrel has a number of “Vice” fruit beers, I guess based on the same Berliner Weisse foundation.

Pineapple beers are big this summer, at Total Wine I saw other pineapple sours, at least one pineapple IPA, and a pineapple blonde ale.

After this I’m switching to hops. I have some Liquid Gravity west coast IPA and som Hazy Little Thing.
