Who leaked Uvalde hallway video now and why? What has the impact been, and where do we go from here [1]

"The truth? You want the truth? You can't HANDLE the truth" scenes come to mind here. Wild times in Texas. "It will be wild" indeed. Scandals and leaks galore surround Uvalde mass shooting. everyone has an opinion and no one has the facts or solutions. Tower of Babel topples.
Generic prompt for what I would like to be an open discussion on the inner workings of the unfolding scandal in Uvalde Texas and Austin, the capitol where a bombshell video has been leaked.
There is no good place to start so I just throw out this hot take and invite others to join in a wide-ranging discussion of all things Uvalde and Texas, gun control, media manipulation, anything at all.
TL;DR version; Uvalde, WTF. Fire away. This is more or less an attempt at a live blog. Some other shoe will drop today, probably. I just want to rant and rave. Brain exploding with anger and wild tangents. Bear with me, or skip the whole intro and feel free to jump in anywhere in the comments. “I’m here for the beer.” Or to drown my sorrow, in any case.
I’m admittedly just “jumping in the middle” here and fighting my way towards any daylight anyone can see. It’s not easy. I’m as angry as I am sickened and I assume many of you are as well. There is nowhere good to start, but it’s worse not to air it all out somehow. Apologies for being scattered. Mostly I want to hear what others have considered after the immediate reactions. Are there ANY conclusions we can draw as of yet? SIs there hope, are there any lessons etc.

The decision to edit out the screams was made by KVUE/ Statesman. They claim “too graphic’ without much further discussion.
While there is plenty of outrage better placed elsewhere and certainly enough to go all around, I tend to think these 2 media outlets allowed themselves to be used here, and they handled the censorship aspect poorly too.
My biggest suspicion is that as shocking as this is, this functions as yet more “limited hangout,” and blunts the coming House Committee investigation “preliminary report” scheduled for Sunday/Monday with a private viewing for grieving families, first. I think the leaker was DPS/Greg Abbott, who has the most to lose and has been squarely behind the stonewalling, lies, lies of omission and scapegoating thus far. I place him at the center of ALL OF THIS mess.
When it became a fait accompli that this video WOULD be made public — and Abbott tried very hard to stop it — he “flip-flopped” to a public statement saying he was in favor of its release. It’s patently and clearly a callous act of desperation on his part. I hope and pray that the House investigation has done interviews that add clarity to the idea that there was a determined and coordinated coverup from the get-go. Keep in mind top officials have seen this video since day one. Seven weeks they held this secret and the killer is dead. What possible motive besides the obvious SHAME could they have for trying to bury the truth?
What About gets NOW, from a surprise leak is the sight cover that was ginned up about “now lets blame the ‘fake media’ and the ghoulish journalists” for a hot minute. Abbott gets the spotlight off of him so long as we rant and rave about hand sanitizer and Punisher lock screens. But like a lot of desperate acts, it won't hold. The next revelations are coming shortly and EACH TIME THEY ARE WORSE. He’s slick at clutching at last straws and managing to still stay afloat. And like a rat, he is HARD TO DROWN and will fight tooth and claw until the end and produce more surprises we didn't see coming.
But HE IS THE RAT, make no mistake. The rest of the Band-of-Our-Brand-is-Failure-Brothers here are like the fleas on his back. They go where he goes. Cut off the HEAD OF THE SNAKE. Eyes on the prize. Don’t be fooled. IT’S GREG ABBOTT’S corpse pile he sits atop, manspreading, shifting, trying to hide. A pile of dead children. Don’t look away from GOP poster boy GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT atop a pile of dead children, screaming lies and pointing in every other direction.
Here’s the big picture. ACAB, this is WHAT THEY TRAIN TO DO — protect themselves and not your children — and people like Greg Abbott are handing our battlefield weapons to mentally unstable teenagers every day FOR PROFIT and to manipulate the weak for votes, donations and TREMENDOUS political power, (power that is used to subjugate women, scapegoat minorities, rob the working classes of dignity, health care and basic safety FOR PROFIT) manipulating fools who cling to guns as though there were anything but murder toys and aids to suicide, crime and domestic abuse that occasionally accidentally hit a deer or a dove once in a while.
All roads lead to Rome because shit rolls downhill.
Here in Texas anyways, Greg Abbot is the person most responsible for the death, pain and destruction AND THE LIES and official policy that creates all the misery, that ISN’T FINISHED here in Uvalde, or in the next town. Maybe your town.
All roads lead to Gregg Abbott.
