I don't normally link to other sites but perfectly timed to coincide with today's hearing, Raw Story has published a gripping autobiographical account of the hellscape that is the right-wing militia echo chamber.

Dakota* strikes me as a thoughtful, intellectual young man. Formerly misguided but in his own way idealistic and exceptionally honest.

I urge you to read his story. It is the best account of the collective descent into anti-goverment lunacy and the equally collective rise of the very same people screaming for big-government fascism I have yet seen.

Before reading the article I had no idea the Oath Keepers and at least some other militia groups used to protest racist police brutality. Until Daddy Trump came along of course.

Others with greater knowledge might be able to shed further light on this latter point.

*note Dakota has changed his surname to dissasociate himself from his father.
